Elon Musk receives advice from the Litecoin creator

In the past few weeks, the cryptocurrency community has gotten used to seeing Elon Musk talk about the market. Last Friday (19), for example, Musk exchanged his profile photo for a Bitcoin.

Tesla's CEO would have started talking a lot about Bitcoin, especially after his company bought $ 1.5 billion of digital currency. Still, this is not the only cryptocurrency that Elon has been talking about.

That's because, considered Elon Musk's favorite meme currency, DOGE gained a lot of prominence. With the speech of the executive, the coin came to be among the 15 most valuable cryptocurrency projects.

Now, Elon Musk has started mining Dogecoin, after buying equipment for that. Tesla's CEO said he had fun times with his kids when setting up mining machines.

He said the used Antiminer L3 + equipment was purchased on Ebay. However, they were not very economical.

“Only a few used Antminer L3 + devices purchased on eBay. It's not very economical, but it was a fun family project, ”said Elon Musk on Twitter.

Seeing Elon Musk's pro-mining movement, Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, another cryptocurrency that is also mined by the same equipment, got excited. According to Lee, Elon Musk should not forget to mine Dogecoin with Litecoin, in a merged mining.

Merged Mining is a way for miners to work for two networks, receiving rewards from both. That is, if Elon Musk starts mining Dogecoin and Litecoin together, he can accumulate more cryptocurrencies for his portfolio.
